Located in Buffalo, Missouri (just a jog north of Springfield) Strickland Legacy Farms is the culmination of generations of farmers in the Strickland family. Raising a line of Herefords purchased by Henry Strickland in 1918, and offspring mixed with an Angus bull (yielding Black Baldies), the health and happiness of our herd is our first and foremost goal.
Our beef is all grass-fed, with no hormones or antibiotics. We cultivate a broad mix of grasses including red and white clover, bromegrass, timothy, big bluestem, alfalfa and more. This varied diet lends a sweetness to the meat and lessens the gamey taste that is sometimes associated with grass-fed beef. We aim for a stress free environment from birth to butcher, which we feel not only makes for happy cows, but happy customers as well.
